Gunzels is a new family adventure film currently in development and seeking investors.

At its heart, Gunzels is a coming-of-age story that mixes the mischievous, treasure-hunting spirit of The Goonies with the intimate personal discovery of Stand by Me. Our protagonists — Charlie, Brady and Wombat — have been inseparable since childhood; their distinct disabilities being the unspoken glue that holds their tight-knit band together. Brady’s bipolar episodes have long made him a target for bullies, while Charlie’s autism has shaped him into a brilliant but socially delicate engineer. Wombat has carved out her place in the group through her deafness and a fierce determination to prove herself to townsfolk who too often underestimate her. United by loyalty and bravado, they strive for one thing: to win the town’s rail-cart race, the last surviving tradition of their fading alpine community. What starts as a whimsical, high-spirited railway romp soon deepens into a layered mystery-box adventure in the vein of LOST or Mr. Robot, where each discovery delivers answers and inevitably, even more questions.
